Português / Lukasz: Sou um fotógrafo de 27 anos que trabalha e estuda em Wroclaw (Polônia). Sou um protético que, há seis anos, se mudou para Wroclaw para estudar psicologia e se apaixonou pela fotografia. Ou, talvez, redescobriu a fotografia depois de uma longa pausa, pois fui apresentado a fotografia pelo meu pai, quando ainda era criança. Posteriormente, no colégio, estava mais afim de vídeo-arte, fazendo alguns curtas com uma câmera VHS, porém me entediei com isso. Por volta de 3 anos atrás, voltei às origens e escolhi a câmera fotográfica.
Acho que arte sempre foi meu tipo de coisa. De fato, quis estudar a história da arte, mas, finalmente, ao invés disso, escolhi psicologia (não me arrependo da minha escolha de maneira alguma). Estudar psicologiqa me ajudou a entender a relação entre os humanos e seus ambientes. Gosto de sentir que as coisas são, de alguma maneira, interrompidas, quando tudo está no estado intermediário, inacabado e bruto, natural e, alguma vezes, desajeitado e é isso que tento capturar com minha fotografia. Acho que isso define muito meu estilo.
Atualmente, tiro fotos quase todos os dias (é uma pena que o clima na Polônia não está sempre bom e está congelante lá fora neste momento). Nos fins de semana, faço alguns cursos extras de psicologia, embora tenha obtido meu mestrado em Arte em Psicologia alguns meses atrás. Não tenho um dia de trabalho agora, mas adoraria trabalhar como fotógrafo em tempo integral. É uma pena que ser capaz de me sustentar não seja tão fácil.

English / Lukasz: I'm a 27 years old photographer working and living in Wroclaw (Poland). I'm a dental technician who six years ago moved to Wroclaw to study psychology and have fallen in love with photography.Or maybe rediscovered photography after a long break as I was introduced to photography by my father when I was still a kid. Later on, in high school I was more into video art, making strange short movies with vhs camera but got bored with it. About 3 years ago I came to my roots and picked up the photo camera.
I guess art was always my sort of thing, I actually wanted to study history of art but eventually picked psychology instead (I don't regret my choice in any way). Studying psychology helped me to understand the relationship with humans and their surroundings. I like the feeling of things being somehow interrupted, where everything is in the state of in-between , unfinished and unpolished, natural and sometimes awkward and that's what I'm trying to capture with my photography. I think it very much defines my style.
Nowdays I'm taking photos almost everyday (too bad the weather outside in Poland isn't always great and it's just freezing cold right now). On weekends I'm doing some extra psychology courses even though I got my Master fo Art in Psychology degree few months ago. I don't have a day job right now but I would love to work as full time photographer... too bad that being able to support myself isn't always that easy.
